Is waxing suitable for everyone?
In most cases, yes. Waxing is suitable for all skin types and hair types. However, if you have very sensitive skin, are taking certain medications (like acne treatments), or have any skin conditions, it’s best to check with your therapist beforehand. They’ll advise you and make sure waxing is safe and comfortable for you.
Does male waxing hurt?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different, but most guys say it’s much less painful than expected. The discomfort only lasts a moment as the wax is removed, and it gets easier with each session as hairs grow back finer and sparser.
How long does the hair need to be?
For the best results, hair should be about ½ cm to 1 cm long (around the length of a grain of rice). Too short and the wax won’t grip properly; too long and it can feel more uncomfortable — if you’re unsure, leave it, and your therapist can trim if needed.
How long will the results last?
Most men enjoy 3 to 6 weeks of smooth skin, depending on how quickly your hair grows. With regular waxing, regrowth becomes finer and slower, and results last even longer.
What should I do before my appointment?
Arrive clean and dry, and avoid moisturisers or oils on the day. Try not to exert yourself, rush or sweat before arriving as this might the wax stick to your skin more. If possible, lightly exfoliate 24 hours beforehand to lift any trapped hairs. Don’t worry about feeling awkward – this is a professional treatment, and your comfort is always the priority.
What should I do after waxing?
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid hot showers, saunas, workouts, or tight clothing. Keep the area clean and dry, and use a gentle moisturiser to soothe the skin. After a couple of days, light exfoliation helps prevent ingrown hairs and keeps your skin smooth.
Is it embarrassing?
Not at all. Male waxing is completely normal and increasingly popular. Your therapist is experienced, discreet, and focused on making you feel comfortable from start to finish — no judgement, just professional care and great results.
